Ran across this video today. I’ve been a big fan of this song for years — it’s one of the clearest and most succinct illustrations of the Problem of Evil that I’m aware of. I don’t know anything about the YouTuber that put these images to this song, so I can’t explain the meaning behind the first slides of this video. However, I think he did a great job putting this together. It’s chilling, really.

Inherently religion is just self massaging circle jerk exercise for people to make themselves feel good about themselves.
This is the reason why they can proudly say God helped me find my car keys while ignoring the fact that God doesn’t care about the people dying in Africa.

Wow — that’s the first time I’ve heard that tune. Chilling indeed.

“Woosh“?
What happened, have a fleeting thought?

That is chilling. You and I must have had similar thoughts as we wrap up this year. I posted a blog today about the whacked out American Christian idea of God’s provision. I don’t miss having to justify why god finds me a parking spot (or sends my daughter tampons…) but doesn’t bother stopping a natural disaster that drowns and destroys.

I’m more of a Skadoosh person myself.
Happy New Year everyone!

Wow very powerful. Seems odd to say, but I’m thankful for the freedom leaving Christianity has given me. I can now answer the problem of evil in a much more intellectually satisfying way.
