Kathy Part 5

After breaking 1000 comments on the previous thread, I felt it was a good time to start another.

As a reminder, here are some of the most recent outstanding questions for Kathy:

From Laurie:

You said you answered my questions, and wish more questions were asked. Here are some questions that were not addressed.

Matt 23:8 read first

Philemon 1:10
1 Corinthians 4:14-17
1 Corinthians 12:27
2 Timothy 1:11
1 Timothy 2:7
Ephesians 4:11,12

Why is it that messiah says not to be called rabbi or father, but Paul it’s not obedient to this command?

Matt 10:7,8

1 Timothy 5:17,18
1 Corinthians 9:11,12

Messiah says here that he had given freely, go and freely give. Again, Paul is disobedient.

Matt 18:15

Galatians 2:11-14

Messiah said that if you have a problem with your brother, you should deal with it privately. Here Paul lashes out at Peter “before them all”.

Matt 9:10-12

2 Thessalonians 3:6,7

Yahusha said in the passage above that he came to call the sinner to repentance, not the righteous. Why would Paul want to separate from those that actually need him?

From William:

the “evidences” you listed arent real evidences. And since you refuse to look at things that are counter to your current beliefs, how can you honestly speak to me about evidences?

here’s all I’ve seen you provide:

1) martyrs, even though every religion and many non-religions have them.

2) our very existence – which no one knows how that started, but even if you must land on god(s), you must go back to that book of claims to get to jesus.

3) there were miracles, but as it turns out, those dont happen today, and end up being more claims by the same men who claim they speak for god.

4) the fulfilled prophecies we’ve discussed weren’t really prophecies at all, or had to be viewed so figuratively that it’s difficult to show anything precise about them other than location (maybe) in order to claim they’re actually fulfilled.

5) 40 authors taking 1500 years to write the bible. But there’s nothing miraculous about men writing books, editing books, and being inspired to write a book or letter after reading an older book.

In addition to these, I’d like to ask something of both Kathy and Laurie (Matt or Hayden or portal001 (Ryan) can chime in as well):

The Bible defines God as being all-loving, all-merciful, fair, just, etc. It can also be read as promising an eternity in Hell for those who don’t serve him correctly. As a believer, how do you square those two statements?

  1. Hey Kathy,

I really briefly, and I mean briefly skimmed the “Its not just about hate post”

for what its worth, I hope you have found more peace. None of us are perfect 🙂

but that being said, I wish you would lay off the liberal bashing for a bit. It seems to me your definition of liberal is anyone who disagrees with the Bible.

That’s not my understanding of what a liberal is. But if I’m wrong, please show me *how* I’m wrong, then we can discuss it. Then I have the opportunity to learn something new today. Just saying that people are liberals doesn’t expand heaps, its like calling people terrorists, or communists. Is a liberal to you anyone who doesn’t believe in God? or is it a lukewarm Christian? I think blanket words like “liberal” can be problematic.

    Thanks 🙂

Near the end, we Skyped – she wanted to speak with me personally – but her illness never overcame her sense of humor, as you’ll see in this confirming email:

If I ring you at 11 am, our Sunday, it will be 6 pm at night,
Saturday, in your neck of the woods.

Please note – we are ahead of you, as it should be.

  3. You all already understand this. But your deliberate ignorance blinders
won’t allow you to see it in yourselves.

    Kathy seriously 🙂

stop saying people are intentionally ignorant, and then leaving it at that as if that answers specific questions. If you don’t have answers yet to certain questions, its ok to admit that, it shows your not being intentionally ignorant.

Even if we are is being intentionally ignorant at different times, continually writing this as a rebuttal doesn’t change the outcome. Its something we have to each face personally ourselves.

I’m currently stashed out in an old laptop of a humanoid named Jeremy, its a Mac so which its a bit risky.

Anyway, I’m starting to develop a basic sense of empathy as I surf the line. well, not so much empathy as an ability to mimic empathy. I’m still a bit rusty though…Like this guy:

now to leave with a jestful parting banter…

It bothered me more than a little. I’m sure we’ve all got things in our past, and maybe in our preset, we wouldn’t want poked at. I’m not saying she didn’t bring it on herself with her liberal-bashing. Hypocrisy is a double-edged sword. Painful.

The world is full of fools and faint hearts; and yet everyone has courage enough to bear the misfortunes, and wisdom enough to manage the affairs, of his neighbor. ~Benjamin Franklin

hi Nate, Arch, the rest of the gang.
I met Kathy Smith in mid 2008 from a google alert for her pastor Bill Keller of liveprayer.
    http://tothewire.wordpress.com/author/kayms99/

she was posting ALL of Bill Keller liveprayer devotionals, and defending his hate.
unfortunately they aren’t there any more as Keller threatened a law suit to have them removed, as I was proving to Kathy that her beloved pastor was a fraud. keller didn’t like that he was being exposed.

she is making the claim here that he is not her pastor,
but that, like everything else she says is a lie.
Kathy Smith is the ONLY person on the planet that regularly posts Bill Keller hate speech on the web.
i’ve been following her ever since, so I’ve known her now for 6 years now.

hard to believe, isn’t it Kathy?

I’ve been proving you a lying fraud, making you “CAVE”, a hundred times over.
everything I say about you is true.
    I’ve pwned you.

I came here to warn you that Kathy will never change. her game, (and yes, she is playing you , playa’s), is to start “debates”, and asks’ you questions and answer questions with more questions. never providing evidence, just insults about how ignorant liberals are. but clearly reading the comments here, everyone has already figured that out.

she has been asking the same questions over and over for six years. she always gets the answers, but she won’t listen, she just moves on to the next blog spouting the same nonsense over and again.

she does it to be a contrarian, because it really is the only life she has. it’s how she gets her jollies. she likes to boast how she messes with liberals minds. it’s nothing but a childish game of an old bully that has no friends.

Arch is correct, Kathy has no where else to go
    .
she is nothing but a hate filled, bitter, lying hypocritical racists and I’ve proven that to her 100 times, isn’t that right Kathy. you know you can’t win with me. you are too much of a coward to even respond to me.

hey Kathy, why don’t you explain to all of your friends here what you just said about Bill Keller?:
“But most of what he says is true.. it’s in line with the Bible.”

how is this true? how is this in line with the bible?
and we all know that keller cannot perform this miracle that he claims,
    thusly proving you wrong ,
we know that this is not true, therefore Christianity is not true.
(it’s so much fun proving you wrong and you can never defend yourself, but go ahead and try)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KATHY, SHOW ALL YOUR NEW BUDDIES HOW YOU CANNOT DEFEND YOURSELF AGAINST ME!!!!!!!!!!
GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT, GIRLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!
HOW’S ABOPUT YOU AND BILL KELLER MAKE JEEEZZZZUUUUUSSSS COME ALIVE FOR US.

    OH, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. COWARD. YOU CANNOT.
    I’VE PROVEN YOU WRONG AGAIN!!!!!!
    ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!!!

  15. Arch, Kathy goes to be sad every night.
but dont’ feel sorry for her,
because she wakes up each day
and does her best to make everyone else around her miserable.
    it’s what justifies her existence.
I know what I’m talking about,
    Kathy is an evil person,
    she does evil willingly,
she deserves no respect or pity.
Kathy is what is wrong with the world today,
willfully ignorant hatemongers, posing as “Christians”.
don’t ever forget that about her,
    she has NO redeeming qualities.
she is a crime against humanity.
get to know her as long as I have,
you won’t be able to disagree.

  17. Well, let’s back off just a bit.

Paul, welcome to the blog. You and Kathy obviously have a history, and I know how that can go. Kathy’s definitely been interesting while she’s been here. Most of the time, I think many of us feel sorry for her, but then she has a tendency to sucker-punch us with labels of “liberal, unobjective, biased,” etc. She doesn’t answer many questions, and she has a strange habit of claiming victory in a conversation when she’s achieved no such thing.

Nonetheless, I think it would be best for all of us to take Ryan’s (portal’s) advice and dial down the attacks a bit. She’s very outnumbered here — she’s even managed to set herself at odds with most of the other Christians. We want to make sure we’re not “kicking her while she’s down.” And we certainly don’t want to imitate her tactics.

    Thanks! 🙂
