After breaking 1000 comments on the previous thread, I felt it was a good time to start another.
As a reminder, here are some of the most recent outstanding questions for Kathy:
From Laurie:
You said you answered my questions, and wish more questions were asked. Here are some questions that were not addressed.
Matt 23:8 read first
Philemon 1:10
1 Corinthians 4:14-17
1 Corinthians 12:27
2 Timothy 1:11
1 Timothy 2:7
Ephesians 4:11,12Why is it that messiah says not to be called rabbi or father, but Paul it’s not obedient to this command?
Matt 10:7,8
1 Timothy 5:17,18
1 Corinthians 9:11,12Messiah says here that he had given freely, go and freely give. Again, Paul is disobedient.
Matt 18:15
Galatians 2:11-14
Messiah said that if you have a problem with your brother, you should deal with it privately. Here Paul lashes out at Peter “before them all”.
Matt 9:10-12
2 Thessalonians 3:6,7
Yahusha said in the passage above that he came to call the sinner to repentance, not the righteous. Why would Paul want to separate from those that actually need him?
From William:
the “evidences” you listed arent real evidences. And since you refuse to look at things that are counter to your current beliefs, how can you honestly speak to me about evidences?
here’s all I’ve seen you provide:
1) martyrs, even though every religion and many non-religions have them.
2) our very existence – which no one knows how that started, but even if you must land on god(s), you must go back to that book of claims to get to jesus.
3) there were miracles, but as it turns out, those dont happen today, and end up being more claims by the same men who claim they speak for god.
4) the fulfilled prophecies we’ve discussed weren’t really prophecies at all, or had to be viewed so figuratively that it’s difficult to show anything precise about them other than location (maybe) in order to claim they’re actually fulfilled.
5) 40 authors taking 1500 years to write the bible. But there’s nothing miraculous about men writing books, editing books, and being inspired to write a book or letter after reading an older book.
In addition to these, I’d like to ask something of both Kathy and Laurie (Matt or Hayden or portal001 (Ryan) can chime in as well):
The Bible defines God as being all-loving, all-merciful, fair, just, etc. It can also be read as promising an eternity in Hell for those who don’t serve him correctly. As a believer, how do you square those two statements?
I was here before Kathy 1 arch, I just forgot about you for a year or so. Probably cause I don’t know your real name!

Ruth,
“I’m not backed into any corner. Again, I provided date to shows the actual numbers and for things like welfare statistics. Which you just wave off as not really real. ”
Providing numbers is all it takes to back something up? You continue to be dishonest Ruth.
And you continue to fail to give specifics that prove your claims. “Providing numbers”, and later stating that you “provided numbers” doesn’t prove your claims Ruth.
“You’ve made an excellent point, though, about the Bush thing. And that is that people can believe things that are completely untrue and be willing to die for that belief(or send other people to their deaths over it). ”
You conveniently ignore the part where they had evidence/reason to believe the WMDs existed.
Again, you are confusing dishonesty with sincerity.
Obama is the one who is causing needless deaths.. re: Benghazi as a great example.. and his ignorant self serving politically motivated decision to pull out of Iraq IS and will continue to cause needless deaths. The major difference that liberals don’t want to acknowledge is that Obama’s motives are selfish and selfserving.. Bush’s motive was to take out a mass murderer so he couldn’t kill anymore. And he and the troops did that. Those that lost their lives knew what they were doing was good and right.
All I’m asking from everyone here is to be honest and objective. The negativeness that has surfaced is all due to the refusal from you and others to do that.
I understand your frustration Ruth.. I’m just trying to get you to see/ acknowledge WHY you are frustrated.

“I was here before Kathy 1 arch, I just forgot about you for a year or so. Probably cause I don’t know your real name!” – I KNOW you were on Nate’s site before Kathy, Laurie, that’s where I “met” you, but if you’ll notice, this thread is Kathy 5 – you did not comment on Kathy I, where Mike posted.
And you didn’t forget about me, otherwise you wouldn’t have called me “Mensa.”
As for my name, would it change anything if I told you it was Archibald MacLeish, but that you could call me arch?

you continue to be dishonest Kathy, you lying turd.
again Kathy, it is you that is confusing dishonesty with sincerity.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2011/12/leadup-iraq-war-timeline
it’s proven bush and company lied. they said they were going after WMD’s.
but here you claim it was “Bush’s motive was to take out a mass murderer so he couldn’t kill anymore.”
see here Kathy, see where your ignorant rantings expose yourself.
had bush never gone into Iraq in the first place under false pretense,
and instead went after al-Qaeda, those that did attack.
we wouldn’t be having the problem with ISIS that we have today.
it is bush’s fault.
in closing, you say, “All I’m asking from everyone here is to be honest and objective”
fuck you you goddam lying whore.
I said it before and i’ll say it again,
I honestly cannot wait until ISIS makes you a martyr for christianity.
off with your head!

I think pulling out of Iraq was a mistake – but going in was also a mistake. Stopped a mass murderer? the war caused more deaths than sadam could have managed on his own. Not all the troops thought we should be there.
I dont think Bush intentionally lied any more that any other president. he was a president during a tough time. But is Obama. what evidence do you have that he acts on selfish motives and that he lies any more than bush?
the deficit has shrunk under Obama. Looks like Bush was spending the usa silly – not the liberals.

Actually, Kathy, I just don’t really care anymore.
I care about America.
I care about our economy.
I care about our healthcare system.
I care about our rights.
I just simply don’t care to argue with the member of the marching band who is marching out of step but believes it’s everyone else who needs to change their cadence. I’m just not doing it anymore. Someone has to end this crazy cycle. I never wanted to argue with you in the first place. I don’t enjoy the kind of debate you like to have. Constructive conversation and seeing different viewpoints is not something you’re interested in. You have all the answers? Why, then, do you think we’re still in a big mess? Oh yeah, it’s because everyone else just won’t listen to you. Reckon why that is?
[Hint: It’s not because you’re coming even remotely close to the truth]

and if anyone thinks my comments about Kathy being martyred are harsh,
I’m just going by the playbook of her pastor that prayed we were all killed by fire and brimstone because he didnt’ like an episode of family guy.
if he can call for all of our deaths in the name of jeeezzzuuuussss,
I dont’ see the problem in calling for hers.
do unto others, you know

Ruth,
If you truly cared about those things, you’d be interested in getting at the truth of what is causing those problems. Do you think making unsupported claims about me is getting at the truth? Just picture a lawyer making your points/ arguments in a trial. You don’t understand what is important, it seems you only care about being right. And that IS THE problem with liberals/ the liberal minded.. again, it’s about preserving your pride & ego BEFORE anything else… like getting to the truth/ cause of the problems that are negatively affecting those things you claim you care about. Your entire comment does absolutely nothing to address the issues. And, yet again, contains nothing of evidence to back up your claims.

I honestly think it’s time to put this thread to rest—permanently.
All those in favor of the motion, say “aye”.

aye would certainly be more productive without it, but there is something so compelling about this train wreck.
is it the colorful charters?
Is it the Monty Python sketch-esque-ness?
Is it just that circles are such a part of the universe that we find it hard to leave?
Is it just amusement and wonder at kathy’s exchanges that make this like a carnival attraction?
I dont know exactly. I know that aye should say “aye,” but aye dont know that aye will just yet.
