Kathy Part 5

After breaking 1000 comments on the previous thread, I felt it was a good time to start another.

As a reminder, here are some of the most recent outstanding questions for Kathy:

From Laurie:

You said you answered my questions, and wish more questions were asked. Here are some questions that were not addressed.

Matt 23:8 read first

Philemon 1:10
1 Corinthians 4:14-17
1 Corinthians 12:27
2 Timothy 1:11
1 Timothy 2:7
Ephesians 4:11,12

Why is it that messiah says not to be called rabbi or father, but Paul it’s not obedient to this command?

Matt 10:7,8

1 Timothy 5:17,18
1 Corinthians 9:11,12

Messiah says here that he had given freely, go and freely give. Again, Paul is disobedient.

Matt 18:15

Galatians 2:11-14

Messiah said that if you have a problem with your brother, you should deal with it privately. Here Paul lashes out at Peter “before them all”.

Matt 9:10-12

2 Thessalonians 3:6,7

Yahusha said in the passage above that he came to call the sinner to repentance, not the righteous. Why would Paul want to separate from those that actually need him?

From William:

the “evidences” you listed arent real evidences. And since you refuse to look at things that are counter to your current beliefs, how can you honestly speak to me about evidences?

here’s all I’ve seen you provide:

1) martyrs, even though every religion and many non-religions have them.

2) our very existence – which no one knows how that started, but even if you must land on god(s), you must go back to that book of claims to get to jesus.

3) there were miracles, but as it turns out, those dont happen today, and end up being more claims by the same men who claim they speak for god.

4) the fulfilled prophecies we’ve discussed weren’t really prophecies at all, or had to be viewed so figuratively that it’s difficult to show anything precise about them other than location (maybe) in order to claim they’re actually fulfilled.

5) 40 authors taking 1500 years to write the bible. But there’s nothing miraculous about men writing books, editing books, and being inspired to write a book or letter after reading an older book.

In addition to these, I’d like to ask something of both Kathy and Laurie (Matt or Hayden or portal001 (Ryan) can chime in as well):

The Bible defines God as being all-loving, all-merciful, fair, just, etc. It can also be read as promising an eternity in Hell for those who don’t serve him correctly. As a believer, how do you square those two statements?

  1. I will say aye only because reading all the posts is taking sooooo much of my time! Not that I’m overwhelmed with things to do, but I do have a life outside of Kathy 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

  2. Yup! Me too! I really do have things I should be doing, lol! I have to get back on the horse, and finish tiling my bathroom. Not that I can’t do that while Kathy 1 2 3 4 and 5 continue, but this is much more interesting!

  4. they had evidence/reason to believe the WMDs existed” – They said they did, I didn’t see it, did you? It’s kinda like resurrections, ANYone can SAY ANYthing, but that doesn’t make it true.

  5. Laurie, I once knew Arch’s real name but I was asked to “forget it” and based on the threats to my life (just kidding), I figured I’d better do as requested. Sorry.

  8. They presented the evidence.. that’s why so many voted for going into Iraq.. including many democrats.

Another thing the left likes to ignore.. Bush would have been wrong for not taking advantage of the opportunity that existed to go in and take Hussein out. Bush realized this.

Nan, you always vote for ending the post when there are questions that you haven’t answered yet.. I’m still waiting for a response to my last comment to you.. I really want to know what “derogatory” comments I’ve made.

    William,

The Bible prophecies that those against God will grow and “rule” before Jesus returns.

That’s happening right now through leftist political policies.

  9. Obama is the one who is causing needless deaths…and his ignorant self serving politically motivated decision to pull out of Iraq IS and will continue to cause needless deaths. – Every single life lost in Iraq is a direct result of Little George W’s invasion, based on lies. Colin Powell was the only one of that group who had the decency and honor to resign when he learned he had been duped into lying to the American people. I would have voted for him, for President.

The major difference that liberals don’t want to acknowledge is that Obama’s motives are selfish and selfserving – What company moved into Iraq as soon as the smoke cleared and began raking in millions of American dollars – why it was Halliburton! Who used to be President of Halliburton – I believe it was Dick Cheney.

What’s going on, Kathy – finally realize that you don’t know enough about your own religion to argue it successfully, and decided it safer to switch to politics? I have news for you, you don’t know enough about ANYthing to successfully argue it.

Shame you weren’t here when Paul was – I’ll have to clue him in to your schedule. You two really need to spend more time together —

  12. “Every single life lost in Iraq is a direct result of Little George W’s invasion, based on lies.”

Again, you ignore that Hussein was a mass murderer who would have continued killing and trying to obtain WMDs. He was a threat to the world.

What you all refuse to understand is that the longer you wait to address these threats, the more likely they will cause more lives to be lost down the road. These are calculations that those in power MUST make.. and that always seem to be way of the head of liberal minded people.

” Colin Powell was the only one of that group who had the decency and honor to resign when he learned he had been duped into lying to the American people.”

He’s a borderline lefty.. he voted for Obama. So, I question his judgment and motives.. I liked him also until those things surfaced.

“What company moved into Iraq as soon as the smoke cleared and began raking in millions of American dollars – why it was Halliburton! Who used to be President of Halliburton – I believe it was Dick Cheney.”

Ok, so let me get this straight.. Bush pushed for war in Iraq so Cheney could get richer.. yes, this kind of liberal “logic” ALWAYS makes so much sense!

  13. Kathy, I’m NOT going back over all the comments you have made just to give you examples. However, I will say this. Your use of various terms to describe the people you’re responding to is often very offensive. I’ve pointed this out before. YOU go back over the comments and find them.

Plus, it’s your tone that really grates. We may not be able to “hear” you, but your words are sufficient enough for us to know how you are saying them. I will give you an example of this — one of your recent comments to Ruth:

And that IS THE problem with liberals/ the liberal minded.. again, it’s about preserving your pride & ego BEFORE anything else…

You don’t know Ruth or anyone else (except perhaps Paul) on this blog, yet you consistently make judgments about who they are and what they believe … based on YOUR opinion only. It’s been pointed out to you that not everyone that disagrees with you is an atheist or a “liberal,” yet you continue to lump everyone together.

If you’re going to continue commenting on this blog, why not ease up on calling everyone names? Try to say what you believe and leave out the parts where you SCREAM how wrong everyone else is just because they don’t believe as you do.

If you’ve paid attention, there have been disagreements between others on this blog, but you don’t see them calling each other names (except perhaps, Arch, but he’s a different breed).

Anyway, that’s all I’m going to say to you about this. You can take my advice or shove it. It’s your prerogative.

  15. the deficit has shrunk under Obama. Looks like Bush was spending the usa silly – not the liberals.
Democrat Clinton left a 3 trillion-dollar budgetary surplus when he left office – Bush spent it all during his first six months. “Thank ya Bill, don’t mind if I do!”

And for the voting record, Nay!

Must be because I’m a Jew, and he’s anti-Semitic” – Not at all, I like Jewesses – when you take them out to dinner and you order pork chops, they never say, “Can I have a bite of that?”

  17. They presented the evidence.. that’s why so many voted for going into Iraq.. including many democrats” – They presented falsified evidence, THAT’S why so many voted for going into Iraq. Obama, upon taking office, had too much honor to besmirch the office of President by filing charges against W and his crew of cut-throats, but I would have nailed his worthless hide to the outhouse wall.

Another thing the left likes to ignore.. Bush would have been wrong for not taking advantage of the opportunity that existed to go in and take Hussein out. Bush realized this.” – Bush had no right to offer up one single American life on the altar of his ego – instead, he has now surpassed Osama Bin Laden in the number of American lives he has taken.

I’m surprised you would vote for him” – he was (and is, I must presume) a man of honor, with no apparent agenda, unlike Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.

    Kathy:
you ignore that Hussein was a mass murderer who would have continued killing and trying to obtain WMDs. He was a threat to the world.” – So you – in your infinite wisdom – are saying that an American President should have the right to attack any country he likes, based on what he thinks that country’s leader might do?

Sorry, Laurie, to put the two of you together in the same comment, I know how belittling that must seem to you, but I’ve got to get through these and out in the yard. And I would NEVER ignore you, I find you intoxicating. If you weren’t married, I’d be all over you like ugly on a warthog – THAT’s the kind of romantic I am!

And that except for Russia and Saudi Arabia (which we already have in our pocket), Iraq has the third largest oil fields in the world, and that we will be out of oil by 2050? I can’t believe ANYone can be that ignorant of what goes on in the world!
