If you’re one of our Christian friends or family who have decided you won’t associate with us because of our current beliefs, and you feel the need to pray for us, I have a request. Instead of praying that we’ll believe the Bible again or come back to the church, why don’t you pray that we ALL come to a better understanding of truth? That would show a more open-minded attitude toward the idea that your position could be wrong. If you happen to be right, then it doesn’t change what you’re asking for. And if you happen to be wrong, then it’s asking God to show you what you should do differently. Either way, you can’t lose.
